Pipilotti Rist is a Swiss visual artist. Rist creates large, complex video art installations, they are immersive kaleidoscopic projections that fuse the natural world with technology.
She compares video to a handbag - a medium where she can pack it all in. Rists installations use, cameras, complex editing, animation, music and soundscapes to explore the relationship between technology and the natural world.
Nature and the digital are united in the ecstasy of communication - we must treat technology with respect and new possibilities will arrive.
